to become an IT specialist (f/m/d).

 

Exciting, individual, hip.

Are you passionate about IT? Then join our team and do an apprenticeship as IT specialist (f/m/d) for application development or IT specialist (f/m/d) for system integration. You’ll work on some of the most important topics of our time, such as digitization and new exciting technologies! After passing the final exam, you will have the opportunity to further develop your career within the IT department at Deka Group!

A strong combination: dual study programs

You consider a normal university degree too dry and boring?The Deka dual study program combines exciting theory with a lot of practice. For the theoretical part, you can choose between two universities:

Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences for Applied Computer Science B.Sc.

You will study for a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (B.Sc.) at one of the ten largest universities of applied sciences in Germany, the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. The study program alternates between theory and practice, which enables you to put your university knowledge into practice straight away. 

  • Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (UAS) for Applied Computer Science B.Sc

    You will study for a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (B.Sc.) at the renowned Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (UAS). The study program alternates between theory and practice, which enables you to put your university knowledge into practice straight away.

Expect more from us.

Your salary will be based on the current collective agreement of the financial industry plus an allowance of €50 per month..

Trainee remuneration according to the collective agreement:
1st year: € 1,296 
2nd year: € 1,358 
3rd year: € 1,420 

In addition, you will receive a 13th month's salary and capital-forming benefits (€40 per month). You benefit from the company pension scheme and 30 days of vacation per year. And there is even more in it for you: our initial training, including a full induction, provides an unbeatable platform from which to build your career. Ongoing support and mentoring as well as our seminar modules for junior staff will help you achieve your personal and professional development goals. And when you're preparing for your exams, we will be there to guide you through.

Step I: Cover letter – We are curious about you!

Please fill in all sections of the form to introduce yourself:

  • Why are you applying to us?
  • Why are you applying specifically for the apprenticeship or study program?
  • What qualifications do you have for it?
  • What makes you the right person for an apprenticeship with us?
  • What additional information do you think is important? For example: When do you finish school and when do you want to start your apprenticeship or study program?

Tip: Remember to format your cover letter in a professional way!

Step II: Send us your application documents.

Once you have decided to join us, we ask you to submit some application documents including a resume in tabular form, your last school reports and relevant certificates.

Step III: Your telephone interview with us.

Afterwards, we will invite you to a telephone interview. During the approximately 30-minute phone call you’ll have the opportunity to share more about you and your interests. It's a bit like a small and relaxed version of a formal job interview. Feel free to ask us any questions that will help you discover whether Deka and the apprenticeship are right for you.

Step IV: Our personal meeting at Deka in Frankfurt.

If you are successful to the final stage, we will invite you to our applicant day where we will meet face-to-face for a detailed interview.
